My desire is to make existing copy better, cleaner, and more easily understood. Every piece of content – an ad, a resume, or a wedding invitation – is selling something, and I want to make sure that your reader buys whatever you're selling. My role is to polish and clarify your voice, not to insert my own. In the end, after all, they are your words, not mine.
I can do as much or as little as you want; everyone has different needs and desires. If you just want to make sure that nothing is misspelled and formatting is uniform, I can do that. If you want me to provide detailed suggestions about how to trim and streamline sentences or tighten up a plot, I can do that. If you want me to read a manuscript and make sure that a consistent voice is maintained throughout, I can do that too.
If there are any particular conventions or styles that you want me to follow, I'll follow them. If you're uncertain or have no preference, I'll use standard conventions. Ultimately, your decision is what I will implement.
I am completely comfortable with all types of content, and I work quickly, competently, and thoroughly. I will stay in close contact with you and give you regular updates on how the project is going.
